HEALTHY CLUB

Daffodil Day Bantry Blues member, Eamon McCarthy did a fundraiser for the Irish Cancer Society.Over the last few months, Eamon went for a Roy Keane look with a greying beard, and to raise funds for cancer research, Eamon agreed to shave his beard and his head which he did over two stages over the weekend to maximise the funds raised.Eamon first had his beard shaved and his head partially shaved leaving a mohawk strip which he had dyded for greater effect on Friday last. On Sunday the remainder of his hair was removed having collected additional donations at Sunday mornings fixture in Wolfe Tone park.

Thank you to all that donated to Eamon McCarthy's Daffodil Day shave or dye which raised over €3,500. This was part of six MSD sites around Ireland supporting Daffodil Day which resulted in over €20k being raised for Irish Cancer Society. These funds will help this great charity to continue to support people in many different ways all over Ireland and especially within our own local community.

Ball4All first session of the new season held in Bantry Boys Club on Wed 29th March. Great to see everyone back and some new faces. Sessions are indoors at the Boys Club until we get out on the Astroturf in May.

It was great to see so many participants having so much fun. We are delighted to have Transition Year students from Colaiste Pobail volunteering to help out and are always welcoming of additional help
