PITCH SCHEDULE 2025 : ( Reviewed 24/3/25) : TRAININING
Training Schedule : Allocated Pitch times for training schedule
PLEASE NOTE:
- > Scheduled games take priority over training, once the pitch has been booked via the Pitch Committee
- > TEAMS with scheduled games to notify teams whose training slots are on when game is to take part.
- > When Teams are aware that they will not be using their slot, they need to advise via Mentors Group as soon as they realise to ensure availability of pitch to other teams.
All teams to be aware of safety and traffic flows / management around training / game times and to ensure adaqupate supervisors in place.
Due to the large number of teams in the club, there will be constant disruption to the schedule as scheduled games take place and when we have to host fixtures. As most midweek games throw in between 6:30& 7:30, this creates severe disruption to multiple teams who have a training slot. It is necessary that there is communication in sufficient time between teams so that alternative training arrangements can be made. [ i.e. If game scheduled for Pitch 1 on a Tues,at 7pm , Junior Hurling & Jun/Prem Int Football would be impacted. Teams will need to communicate and agree on pitch sharing on Pitch 2 - IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY of the TEAM Management with the fixture to advise the teams who are impacted in a timly manner so they can adjust their programmes if they have to work in a much smaller space.
To all Team Management;
To keep our pitches in top condition for matches and training, we need your help in managing how we use them at training especially during drills. Repeated use of the same areas—especially for high-intensity drills involving turning, sprinting, and tackling—can cause excessive wear and tear. This not only makes the surface uneven and harder to play on but also extends recovery time, increasing the risk of pitch closures for repairs/ recovery.
By rotating training areas regularly, we can spread out wear, maintain better grass coverage, and ensure a safer, more consistent playing surface for all teams. Please work with us to vary drill locations and encourage players to use different sections of the pitch. A little adjustment in training habits goes a long way in keeping our pitch match-ready all season.
Thank you for your cooperation!
