As in their previous games Bantry started strongly and had two points on the board inside the first five minutes.
A fine goal on six minutes after some great build up play saw the girls in blue in a great position but it was to be another ten minutes before the next score of the game arrived when Dohenys registered their first point in the sixteenth minute.
Bantry replied immediately with further points in the seventeenth and twentieth minutes and two fine saves from the Bantry goalkeeper kept the Dohenys on the back foot.
Dohenys patience was rewarded however when they goaled on the stroke of half time to leave this game finely balanced with Bantry going in at half time leading on a scoreline of 1.4 to 1.2.
Again Bantry started the second half well with a lovely goal in the fourth minute which they followed up a minute later with a well worked point.
Dohenys however were pushing hard in front of the home crowd and were keeping themselves in the game with some well taken points.
With only two points between the sides with ten minutes to go it was anyone's game but Bantry's work rate and sheer determination was rewarded with a fine goal in the twenty first minute to put them back in control. Both teams traded points but Bantry were able to close out the game with some nice possession football and win on a scoreline of 3.7 to 1.9.
Another fine win for these girls following on from last week's County league final victory and they now have their sights firmly set on this year's West Cork Championship.
Next up is a semi final against the winners of Bandon and Ilen Rovers.
