A great runout for our Junior B squad as they prepare for the West Cork Championship in mid August. With a c. 40 year spread in age difference from the young 18 yr olds to the evergreen goalie on the day, young Gerdie Barry who was well protected by other elder lemons in the squad , Kevin Harrington & Kenneth Deane in the full back line there was a great commraderie in the squad. The forwards not to be outdone by the defensive elders had the newly transferred from today’s opponents, the muinteor, Brian Gleeson was playing on the edge of the square.

In a tight competitive game, there was nothing in it coming upto the final whistle when a point from the blues ensured the Henry Deane Cup was returning to Wolfe Tone Park.

Great to see the Deane family in attendance, with the new generation ( Henry’s grandchildren ) continuing Henrys passion for sport, being active all day.
