Our Minor Ladies got their league campaign off to a great start with a hard fought away victory over Bandon this afternoon. The girls in blue started brightly and were soon on the scoreboard with some well taken points.

Bandon slowly grew into the contest but two well finished goals saw our girls going in at half time leading on a scoreline of 2.7 to 1.6.

The second half again proved to be a tight affair with both teams playing some great football and matching each other for scores.

However, Bantry's resolute defending, support play and teamwork proved to be the deciding factor, with our girls securing a hard fought win on a scoreline of 2.11 to 1.10.
