Our Juniors footballers were in action today against Ilen Rovers at Church Cross.

It was the second outing of the week for this team, catching up on a game postponed earlier in the season . The game started well for the Blues with a great mix in the team geling well together. Points from Stephen Coughlan, Jack Sheedy and Fionn O'Donovan gave us a good start, at the end of the first quarter the score 3-2 in favour of the Bantry Credit Union sponsored boys in blue.. Goals from Jack Sheedy and Fionn O'Donovan made the score 2-5 to 0-5 at half time.

Ilen cam out strong after the break dominating the opening quarter of the half to go three points up with some excellent scoring .However with 15 minutes left the Blues got their second wind and goals from Jack Sheedy and Mathew Barry gave Bantry some breathing room.

At the full time whistle the final score was 4-8 to 3-8 and a good win.
