Despite conceding some early goals the blues kept the scoreboard ticking over with Dara Sheedy again keeping the umpires busy with some superb scoring.
Trailing at the break 0-10 to 3-06 (15), the sideline took action with some positional changes, which saw the blues take control of the opening ten minutes out scoring the mid Cork boys by 2-05 to 1-00. , with Dan Joe ONeill rattling the net with a perfectly placed ball in the bottom left corner followed by another score from Dara Sheedy, seeing the goalies off his line to lob a ball over his head in to the back of the net. This right turnaround saw the blues lead by 3pts after 10mins. on a scoreline 2-15 (21) V 4-06 (18) .
Aghabullogue got going again but each score they got was cancelled by a blues score. At the ;60 minute mark the blues were 3 in front and the blues supporters were waiting for the ref to blow, but there was time to be added on & 2 minutes into the added time Aghabullogue were awardees free 30 metres out, which they took the only option available to them and floated the ball into the square full of bodies, with 13 blues behind the ball , somehow an Aghabullogue boot connected and sent the ball to the back of the net. All square now, with very little time to react, but the blues keeper , Ben Clancy calmly took the kickout and found Christopher Cronin who took the ball upfield quickly to Dara Sheedy on the right wing who when in range split the posts as the ref was about to blow full time .
A great result for these young blues & their management
