St Finbarrs Boys National School make history this week when the contest their first ever Cork PPS Sciath na Scoil hurling final when the travel to Pairc Ui Tinn to play Scoil Eoin Ballincollig this Friday for an 11am throw in.
It is wonderful to see the hard work of the schools paying off. Over the last few years St Finbarrs have worked hard on their hurling with Mr ( Cathal ) McCarthy being a driving force and coach, with great support from Principal Mr ( Brian) Gleeson. With lots of hurling activity in the school and the local parish Friday sessions between all the National Schools of the Parish now bearing fruit. Also a word of acknowledgment to the TY students of Colaiste Pobail who also helped out with some coaching earlier in the year.
We wish all the St Finbarrs players, team management all the best in their Final this Friday
