Well done to our under 13 footballers who came out on the right side of a penalty shoot out against Sam Maguire GAA tonight in Dunmanway. After 60 minutes of normal time both sides couldn’t be separated necessitating the switching on of the floodlights to allow extra time be played. Again in extra time both sides picked up where they left off in normal time and ran each other to a standstill. The young blues trailed by 3 points coming into injury time but won a late penalty to level proceedings at the death. Full time score 5-8 each. The drama didn’t end there as we had penalties to follow with Bantry finally coming out on top after 2 hours of great football. Thanks to Sam Maguires for a great welcome as always.
